Who is responsible
Glossy Drop London is the data controller for personal data collected through this site. Contact us at hello@glossydroplondon.com.
What we collect
- Order details: name, delivery address, email, order contents and order history.
- Payment data: handled by Stripe. We receive confirmation and the last four digits of your card, never the full number.
- Marketing: your email address if you join the drop list.
- Enquiries: anything you send us via the contact form, email or the on-site chat.
- Technical: basic usage and device data needed to run and secure the site.
Why we use it and our lawful basis
- To take payment and fulfil your order — performance of our contract with you.
- To handle returns, refunds and enquiries — contract and our legitimate interests in running the shop.
- To send marketing emails — your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To keep tax and transaction records — our legal obligations.
- To prevent fraud and keep the site secure — our legitimate interests.
Who we share it with
We share data only with providers who help us run the shop: Stripe (payments), our delivery partners, Formspree (form and newsletter submissions), and our hosting and database provider. They act on our instructions and may not use your data for their own purposes. Where data is transferred outside the UK, appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement apply. We never sell your data.
How long we keep it
Order and transaction records are kept for 6 years to meet tax and accounting requirements. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe. Enquiries are kept for up to 2 years.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct or delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent to marketing at any time. Email hello@glossydroplondon.com and we'll respond within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
